Inspired by the many cultures that celebrate the end of the winter with light, the annual Beacon Spring Celebration of Light features a lantern-filled parade down Main Street followed by a celebration at The Yard. Since 2025 is the year of the Snake, the festival will feature signature hand-made snake-themed giant lanterns. 

Bring your own homemade lanterns and join in. There will be lantern-making workshops at the Howland Library and Desmond Fish Library.

5:30pm - Gather for the parade - Polhill Park - Main Street & South Ave 

6:00pm - Parade kick-off 

6:30pm - Celebration - The Yard - 4 Hanna Lane
