2nd Annual Chalk-A-Block in Alexandria
This event was rescheduled from Sunday, September 7th to Sunday, September 28th due to weather.
Welcome to the 2nd Annual Chalk-A-Block!
Come join Salon deZEN (533 Montgomery St.) and various sites throughout Old Town North for a day filled with colorful creativity and fun!
Chalk artists will transform the sidewalks and parking lots of Old Town North into their canvases. Live music will fill the air from a variety of artists including local favorites The Okays and Talk in Waves. Local artisans and makers organized by Made in ALX will be on hand to showcase their works. From stationery to jewelry to crochet creations to baked goods and more, there’s something for everyone!
Follow the Old Town North Tern’s footprints from site to site throughout Old Town North and complete the scavenger hunt to be entered to win prizes!
Don't miss Dina Wise (@dinas_doodles) at Alexandria House (400 Madison St.) and her amazing portrait gallery of Chalk-A-Block attendees!
Chalk-A-Block is free to attend and will offer fun for all ages: artists will designate areas at most locations where kids (and adults!) can join in and make chalk art of their own. Stop by the AFBA Parking Lot at the corner of Montgomery St. & N. Saint Asaph St. to see Anila Angjeli's "Wings in Bloom" piece with a special opportunity for visitor participation. https://www.aline-architecture.com/post/wings-in-bloom
Parking is available on surrounding streets; follow local signage.
Old Town North Alliance thanks our wonderful partners in helping to host “Chalk-A-Block”: Hotel AKA, West Elm, AFBA/5Star, Salon deZEN, St. Elmo’s Old Town North, Oak Steakhouse, MRP Realty, Bond Vet, Sheraton Suites, Royal Restaurant, Alexandria House, T.J. Stone’s, Made in ALX, and Pat Miller.
