The herring are back, and so is this fun family event at Peirce Mill in Rock Creek Park. Each spring, these mighty fish travel upstream from the Chesapeake Bay to Rock Creek, where they lay their eggs. Come learn about the spring herring migration, and see if you're as strong as a fish!

Try swimming up imaginary rapids and finding the way on a Rock Creek balance beam. Go up a fish ladder and carry an egg on a spoon. After completing the obstacle course, participants can look for herring swimming past Peirce Mill.

This outdoor event is free and no registration is required.
