First Day Hike: Leesylvania State Park
Park rangers lead guided hiking tours throughout the park, including a Children's Discovery Hike along the Potomac Trail at 11:30am and 2:30pm. Kids can use the provided binoculars, magnifying glasses, bug-catching tools, and more during the hike.
Self-Guided Story Book Hike on Nature Trail at the Visitor Center
Featured Story: Once There was a Tree by Natalia Romanova
Guide children through the short trail while reading the book posted along the way. Follow the life of a tree and all those who depend on it.
The Potomac Trail is stroller-friendly. Please meet at the visitor center, wear comfortable shoes, and don't forget a reusable water bottle!
Leashed pets are welcome on the trails, but are not allowed inside the visitor center.
Parking fees are waived for the day.
