Family Day at the Library of Congress: Creating Comics

Families of all ages are invited to create their own comics, see a display of items from the Library’s extensive comics collections and talk with comics and graphic arts specialists from the Library’s Serial and Government Publications Division. Each Family Day includes a creative activity, connections to Library of Congress collections, a chance to talk to staff experts, and a guide to using Library resources at home.

The activities will be held on the mezzanine level of the Jefferson Building from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 18. The event is free, but tickets are required for the Jefferson Building. Register for free tickets. 

At 2:00 p.m., hear bestselling cartoonists Raina Telgemeier and Scott McCloud discuss how they created their graphic novel "The Cartoonists Club." The author talk will take place in the Coolidge Auditorium. Register for free tickets. 

Separate, free, advance ticketing is required for this part of the program.
