The Fairmont Hotel in Georgetown hosts its annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in the courtyard. There will be live Christmas music performed by the Georgetown Visitation Madrigals, children can decorate holiday cards, and all families will be entered to win prizes. Of course Santa will also be there with Georgie, the hotel’s Canine Ambassador, and available to take photos after the tree lighting.

The event will benefit local nonprofit Horton's Kids, which empowers children growing up in one of Washington, DC's most under-resourced communities. Attendees are encouraged to bring a toy to donate.
