Iris is excited about taking a trip to el parque with Abuela, but Iris can't decide what color shirt to wear. While exploring color, Abuela explains to Iris that colors are inside everyone even when only choosing one to wear. Told through vibrant imagery, dynamic movement, and a beautiful soundscape created by each of the performers, this sensory-rich production is inspired by a Zapoteca myth and Quechua legends about the rainbow.
Arco Iris will be performed at Theatre on the Run in Arlington and The Lyceum in Alexandria. Performances at Theatre on the Run will be on June 9, 15, 17, 22, and 24. Performances at The Lyceum will be on June 11, 18, and 25.
Performance times are:
- Thursdays & Fridays: 10:30am
- Saturdays: 10am and 11:30am
