In conjunction with our special exhibition Happiest Place on Earth: The Disneyland Story, take to the skies and celebrate the magic of Peter Pan’s Flight, one of Disneyland’s original Opening Day attractions from July 17, 1955!

Inspired by Walt Disney’s 1953 animated classic Peter Pan, this rail-suspended dark ride invites guests to soar over London and Never Land aboard a flying pirate galleon.

Explore how animators over time have created the illusion of graceful flight and atmospheric wonder to bring airborne adventures to the screen. Then, using traditional 2D animated principles such as slow in/slow out and appeal, design and animate your own airship soaring through shimmering clouds and sparkling stardust.
