Independence Seaport Museum Reopens
- see all dates
Independence Seaport Museum reopens its doors to visitors on March 20. The museum is operating on a weekend-only schedule, from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturdays and 12 noon to 5 pm on Sunday, with 25% capacity limits in place to ensure social distancing.
Additional safety procedures include increased daily cleaning schedule, plastic partitions at all points of sale, staff requirement to wear masks, additional installation of hand sanitizer devices in high trafficked areas, and adjustment or removal of certain exhibit components based on levels of interactivity. Guests should wear masks and use hand sanitizer after interacting with exhibits.
The museum is highly encouraging visitors to purchase tickets in advance. Admission tickets are timed and on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Please note that National Historic Landmark ship Submarine Becuna remains closed until further notice for visitors and staff’s safety. While Paddle Penn’s Landing also remains closed, limited kayak excursions begin on July 25.
Please keep your family and others safe by always wearing masks and maintaining social distancing measures. If an event appears too crowded, try using the “nearby” search feature on our event calendar to find something else to do.
