Visitors to Colonial Pennsylvania Plantation can enjoy a picnic at the farm and celebrate our nation's birthday by hearing the Declaration of Independence while witnessing the crowds react. It is clear that there is not complete agreement in Chester County; however, the Patriots are determined to change the crowd's mind by making demonstrations against the king. Additional activities include house tours, textile demonstrations, long rifle, garden and animal talks. Picnic lunches are welcomed. Refreshments are available for purchase. Don't forget to bring a comfortable chair or blanket.

The schedule (which is subject to change) is as follows:
12:30 PM and 2:30 PM Reading from Paine's "The Crisis"
1 PM and 3 PM Reading of the Declaration of Independence (with burning of King George)
