Family Class: Baking and Ancient Writing

Sat Jan 11, 2020
12:00pm to 2:00pm

Geared towards children 7-12, this workshop allows families to learn what early literacy and cookies have in common as they make and taste cuneiform-inspired sweets at the Free Library of Philadelphia.

Participants make and taste the cookies and learn more about how writing was invented. Guests also can make their own seal similar to those found in archaeological digs. Seals will be available to take home and use with additional baking recipes. Register in advance online.
