Obon Festival at Shofuso

The Obon Festival returns to Shofuso with bon odori folk dances and taiko drumming. Guests can also enjoy arts projects, a yukata dressing station, and vendor market. 

The festival takes place outside of Shofuso and is free and open to the public. General admission to enter the house applies. Obon is a series of events in Japan based on Buddhist and ancestral worship celebrating ancestors' spirits.  Lantern lighting festivals will be held at the conclusion of the day from 7-9pm  for a fee of $25 per lantern.
