Evil Genius Beer Company is teaming up with School of Rock to throw the ultimate outdoor Battle of the Bands block party. The 1700 block of Front Street in Fishtown transforms into a high-energy concert venue as six regional School of Rock chapters go head-to-head in front of a panel of local music judges.

But the fun doesn’t stop when the amps cool down.

Tell All Your Friends, a South Jersey-based alt-rock/emo band, takes the stage inside the Evil Genius taproom at 8:00pm for a night of throwback anthems, emo bangers, and surprise covers that’ll have the whole crowd singing. Think: My Chemical Romance meets Paramore, with a little Queen and Kelly Clarkson thrown in.

Throughout the day, expect:
* Student musicians from six local School of Rock locations
* Vinyls, comics, fashion, and art vendors
* A portion of proceeds + donations benefiting School of Rock Philadelphia
* A signature Evil Genius beer garden with pay-as-you-go drinks and bites
* A chance to experience what Philly’s music scene is all about — from the next generation of talent to the rising stars of the emo revival
