Double Rainbows Pop-Up Exhibit at Please Touch Museum
- see all dates
From May 6 through June 27, Philadelphia Contemporary, Temple Contemporary at the Tyler School of Art and Architecture, and Please Touch Museum present this pop-up exhibit of rainbows made by kids during the COVID-19 crisis.
Guests must register online as capacity is limited. There are two sessions each day: 9 am- 12 noon and 1:30 pm-4:30 pm. This provides time for sanitization. Masks should be worn and social distancing should be observed.
The idea evolved when families who couldn't go out placed pictures of rainbows on their windows. While everything was shut down, the Please Touch Museum and Temple Contemporary asked children to design and submit rainbows to the Museum. Initially, the collection was shared online but now visitors can see the exhibit at the Please Touch Museum.
This project was funded by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
Please keep your family and others safe by always wearing masks and maintaining social distancing measures. If an event appears too crowded, try using the “nearby” search feature on our event calendar to find something else to do.
