Clay and community come together for this creative day at the Clay Studio in South Kensington. Get creative and messy with for hands-on activities for all ages, plus wheel throwing demos, group sculptures, artist projects, ice cream, screen printing totes, music, and more.

Ongoing activities 12pm-4pm

Learn about Islamic patterning from featured artist Ibrahim Said

Make a tile designed by local artist George Rodriguez that will be installed in a permanent installation

Screen print a tote bag with Second State Press

Glaze a piece of pottery and as it is Raku fired right before your eyes

Create and animate clay characters using the art of stop motion

Try the people-powered pottery wheel

Strike a pose in the photo booth

Turn 1,000 pounds of clay into a collaborative work of art inspired by Roberto Lugo&rsquo;s new mural
