A Month of Indoor Activities

1/8/08 - By Anna Fader
indooractivities.jpgThroughout January I'm going to be posting New York's best indoor activities for babies, toddlers and kids...which will come in handy if it ever gets cold again...not that I'm one of those crazy people who believes in global warming or anything. We've recently posted about Mommy and Me Swimming Classes and Five Great Indoor Activities for Kids in NYC. You can find all our similar posts in our Indoor Activity Guide.

I'm also going to be trying something a little different. Instead of one long, comprehensive post, I'm going to do multiple short posts every day. (Email subscribers don't worry, you'll still only get one email per day.) I'm hoping this will make it easier to get more info out that has been hard to post about because it didn't fit into one of my "big" posts. I hope you'll give me feedback on whether you like this format better or not.

About the Author

Anna Fader

Founder of Mommy Poppins

A fourth-generation Brooklynite, Anna started Mommy Poppins in 2007 to help families find the best things to do with kids in NYC, with a particular emphasis on sharing activities that are free, affordable, and enriching. The site, used by millions of families, has grown to become the ultimate resource for parents in the major US cities, plus travel guides for 100s of destinations.

Anna is a believer in the magic of summer camps, traveling with kids, and that you can raise kids on a budget and still have a rich life full of amazing memories. Anna's first Mommy Poppins book, The Young Traveler's Journal and Activity Book, published in 2025 and co-written with her daughter, Amelia Eigerman, brings that ethos to life, in addition to this website.
