There are some great playgrounds in Westchester specifically for toddlers and preschoolers, but when the weather is less than ideal for outdoor fun, there are a number of indoor play spaces that offer a chance for this age group to jump on trampolines, listen to music, make art, and even take a STEM class!
Here, we've rounded up a few of our favorites across Westchester, with opportunities for drop-in play as well as monthly memberships and more.
Looking for even more indoor activities? Check out our guide, and be sure to sign up for our newsletters to stay in the loop.

From Rockville Centre to Montauk, from the first weekend of March till the last, Main Streets across the Island come alive with pipers, parade marchers, traditional food, music, dance, and more. Huntington itself swells with visitors on the second Sunday of March when one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day gatherings in New York State kicks off in the village downtown. That Huntington parade is dwarfed perhaps only by New York’s City’s celebration, which this year is Tuesday, March 17.

Royal Caribbean recently debuted a massive renovation (and renaming) of its private CocoCay Bahamas island. The brand-new "Perfect Day at CocoCay" Caribbean destination now offers three beach areas, a stunning freshwater pool, a helium balloon ride — and what's billed as the water park with the tallest slide in North America. New dining areas, more water sports, zip lines, and additional updates were added to the refresh.
I was invited on the Royal Caribbean cruise out of Fort Lauderdale to see the 125-acre upgrades, including brand-new "floating" cabanas that debuted in January 2020. Read on for what to do at Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas, how to get there, and what it might cost your family.

Westchester and the Hudson Valley will play host to a considerable number of family-friendly performances over the next couple months, from page-to-stage musicals to circus acts, from marionette theater to musical concerts. We think parents will enjoy many of these, too!

Without putting too fine a point on it, "best" could describe the one that best fits your financial picture. Or has great counselors. Or culminates in a rock concert. Or gives kids lots of water time. Maybe when you close your eyes and think "Best Summer Camp," you envision one where your child is spirited away for a day of fun on a little cloud, while you sleep in (that's my idea of best, anyway, and I am still looking). Believe it or not, our list of the best Brooklyn summer camps includes picks for almost all of those scenarios.
While "best" is a bit subjective, Brooklyn has tons of excellent options when it comes to summer fun. So, think of this as a little tasting platter. Excellent options in a sea of delicious dishes. Check our Directory for many more and be sure to visit our Summer Camp Guide for other top picks.
