18th Annual Pumpkin Festival
Celebrate the Fall Harvest and the Season of the Witch at the Whippany Railway Museum with train rides and a Halloween crafts/vendor fair. The whole family can enjoy an afternoon amid the Color and Spirit of Fall in the Whippanong Valley of Morris County.
Take a relaxing, nostalgic 30-minute trip into the past onboard the "Pumpkinliner." The enjoyable excursion follows the route of the Historic Whippanong Trail and will feature antique cabooses you can ride in. Trains leave at 12:30 p.m., 1:15 p.m., 2 p.m., 2:45 p.m. 3:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. Purchase tickets in advance online.
The Festival will feature pumpkins, corn shocks, and grinning scarecrows, along with local crafts and railroad memorabilia. There will also be a unique collection of antique Farm Tractors. Kids can pose for pictures in front of the Haunted House and enjoy the festive fall decorations around the museum grounds.
This event takes place rain or shine.
