The City of Santa Monica presents its 8th annual Día de los Muertos event celebrating the cycle of life and the remembrance of ancestors at Woodlawn Cemetery

The event includes traditions that are part of this ceremony both in Mexico and in the United States.

Activities include a procession and ceremonial blessing, which opens the event, music and dance performances, craft workshops to create offerings for loved ones, marigold offerings, altar displays, storytelling, and a presentation about how families in Mexico prepare for this holiday.

Fresh tamales, tacos, aquas frescas, churros, and more are available for purchase.
