NOTE: JANM’s Pavilion is closed for renovation and will reopen in late 2026
The largest museum in the U.S. focusing on the experiences of Japanese Americans opens its doors for its monthly free day.
Note that museum admission is always free on Thursdays from 5pm-8pm, but only on the third Thursday of the month is admission free all day.
The museum also hosts free Family Festival days several times throughout the year, such as the Oshogatsu festival in January and the Natsumatsuri festival in August.
