Color Our World is a 2025 Summer Reading Kickoff Party at Chevy Chase Library! This summer's theme, Color Our World.  invites readers of all ages to explore new stories, discover new skills, and engage with their community in fresh and exciting ways.

From 2:00-4:00pm:

• Register for the Summer Reading Challenge and get a free book!
• Cool off with a complimentary shave ice from Clayboys whose truck will be on site!
• Crafts for Kids-- Make a Rocking crab, design a crayon, and help decorate the Children's room with coloring pages!
• Activities for Teens and Adults-- Abstract Painting, fold an origami crab, work on a group library jigsaw puzzle, color a giant mandala, help create a hot-air balloon wall poster!
• Scavenger Hunt-- Search for pictures of Artie the crab hidden around the Children's Room! Find them all and get a prize!
• Bubbles on the lawn and sidewalk chalk drawing!
• Two Milkshake Concerts-- pick one! Concert attendance will be limited. Free tickets will be distributed 30 minutes before the program at the Information Desk, on a first-come-first-served basis. First Concert: 2:30-3:00pm Second Concert: 3:15-3:45pm
