Yan Kama Yan Storytime at Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture
Ms. Dina invites families to Kan Yama Kan Storytime, a delightful session presented in Arabic and English. Featuring Hantush, a story written by Salha Hamdeen, a 14 year old Palestinian girl from the Jahalin Bedouin tribe, where her imaginary pet lamb, Hantush, helps her escape her reality and roam the world.
First, Ms. Dina will read the story using Arabic and English interchangeably. Then, revisit key terms from the story while practicing the Arabic alphabets. Finally, discuss the lessons we draw from the story.
Tickets are $5! If you or your child are in one of our Arabic Language classes, email arabic@albustanseeds.org to get free tickets!
Note: Al-Bustan is a multi-purpose community space. While readings will take place at Al-Bustan’s library, parents are kindly requested to remain with their children and watch over them beyond the premises of the library and near exhibition spaces where delicate art is displayed. Thank you.
