Mass Audubon February Vacation Week
- see all dates
Discover the wonders of winter at the Boston Nature Center’s February Vacation Week! Kids will explore the snowy landscape, uncover animal tracks, tap maple trees, and enjoy hands-on activities that bring the season to life.
Children are grouped by age—Owls (ages 5–6), Hawks (ages 6–7), and Falcons (ages 7–9)—with each group following an age-appropriate curriculum aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework. Themes are explored through diverse activities such as nature observations, investigations, group projects, journaling, art, group games, songs, and guided walks on the sanctuary’s trails.
Outdoor play is an essential part of the program. Children will spend time in the Nature Nook, build forts, and explore the 67-acre wildlife sanctuary daily. Proper outdoor clothing is essential to ensure every child enjoys this valuable outdoor learning experience.
