The universal symbol of light illuminates the rich cultural diversity of our community when Mayo Performing Arts Center transforms the Vail Mansion Plaza into its fifth annual “Theatre of Light.” A curtain of stars and lights welcomes the community onto the Vail Plaza for this free evening of celebration.

Specially lit magical winged dancers perform while enchanted creatures and puppets roam about in dazzling colors. There is music, dance, ice carving and craft making from a variety of community artists.

This year’s event will include participation and/or performances from the following community artists:

• Fluxion LED Light Dancers
• MPAC Performing Arts Company
• Unity Steppers
• OKAMOTO Studios Live Ice Sculpting
• Music by DJ Lingo

Throughout the evening:

• Craft Table: create magic wands, crowns and more!
• Over the Moon: write your wishes and intentions for your loved ones and community, and attach them to the silvery moon art installation!
• The evening ends with a community light parade led by magical creatures, winged dancers, and other surprises!
