In this free, drop-in workshop, Getty visitors can create their own perfume using historical ingredients and scent combinations favored at the Court of Versailles in France. 

Participants discover how perfume's popularity surged into and throughout the 18th century, fueled by the patronage of French kings and queens (like Marie-Antoinette), and how artworks in the Getty's collections reflect this fascination with fragrance.

Admission to the Getty Center is free, and requires a timed-entry reservation.
