Plant Dye Workshop at Bayard Cutting Arboretum

Bayard Cutting Arboretum
This workshop at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum introduces the historical and traditional plant dye techniques utilizing common household, locally sourced, and imported plant materials to create a natural spectrum of colors. Participants can work side by side with an expert, gain hands-on experience and receive instruction on how to properly recreate this process at home. Additionally, any samples created can be taken home by the participants. This workshop is presented by Dr. Rosa M. Gambier, Professor of Biology.
NOTE: Recommended for ages 15 and older.
