Annual 2023 Closing Celebration at Socrates Sculpture Park

3:00pm to 5:00pm ET
Age: 8 and up

Location:
Socrates Sculpture Park
Socrates Sculpture Park bids farewell to its 2023 exhibition, Transformation, by 2023 fellows Ashley Harris, Ndivhuho Rasengani, Bat-Ami Rivlin, Kate Rusek, Maryam Turkey, and Stefania Urist. Meet the artists and learn more about their work and Fellowship experience creating their work on-site at the park.
Poet and artist Emily Toder reads from her book, Waste, by the North Gate of the Park, in front of Untitled (12 tubs) by Bat-Ami Rivlin, a sculpture made from discarded and second-hard bathtubs. Meditating on notions of debris, excess, and discarded matter, Toder’s poetry invites the listener to explore their relationship with the sculpture’s scavenged objects.
