Christmas Eve on Sesame Street – 45th Anniversary Screening
- see all dates
In this beloved 1978 TV special, Big Bird deals with a major question—how does Santa fit down the chimney? Bert and Ernie face their own gift-giving dilemma. The screening at the Museum of the Moving Image is preceded by a brief compilation of Henson holiday clips.
Directed by Jon Stone and featuring Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Caroll Spinney, Jerry Nelson, Richard Hunt, Linda Bove, Northern Calloway, Debbie Chen, Will Lee, Loretta Long, Sonia Manzano, Bob McGrath, Roscoe Orman.
Be sure to combine the screening with a visit to The Jim Henson Exhibition in the Museum's galleries upstairs and come face-to-face with your favorite characters from Sesame Street, The Muppet Show, The Dark Crystal, and more.
Museum admission ($10–$20) includes a screening ticket and access to all exhibitions and activities. Screening tickets are also available on their own ($9–$15) and museum access can be added on upon arrival.
Saturday's show is at 1:00 p.m. Sunday's show is at 12:30 p.m.
