Memorial Day Ceremonies - Forest Lawn
Forest Lawn welcomes community members to celebrate Memorial Day at six of its LA locations. The annual ceremony to honor fallen soldiers features patriotic music, ceremonial wreath presentations, keynote addresses, invocation, and presidential proclamation. Guests are given souvenir lapel pins and frozen treats.
Admission and parking are free.
The Forest Lawn-Hollywood Hills commemoration is the featured event this year, with keynote speaker Brigadier General, Dr. David Smith; the resonate voice and presence of emcee Michael Ellington; an invocation and benediction by Monsignor Frank Hicks; a presidential proclamation by Police Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton; music by the Los Angeles Concert Band; and family-friendly activities
The events at Covina Hills, Cypress, Cathedral City, Hollywood Hills, and Long Beach start at 10am. The Glendale event begins at 1pm.
