Opening Reception: “Kikuo Saito and Friends: New York City Downtown and Beyond, 1970’s and 1980’s”
All are invited to the Opening Reception for Kino Saito's brand new exhibition, "Kikuo Saito and Friends: New York City Downtown and Beyond, 1970’s and 1980’s," curated by renowned critic Karen Wilkin. This show features artwork by Saito and the close circle of artists that he was associated with for over 20 years. They include such notable figures as Helen Frankenthaler, Larry Poons, Kenneth Noland, and Anthony Caro, among many others. This eight-month major exhibition spans throughout the entirety of the Art Center.
Guests are also invited to attent Artist in Residence open studios by Mary Mattingly and Leticia Pardo to see their works in progress and chat with them about their practices.
Complimentary food and drinks will be served, RSVP encouraged.
