Chestnut Hill by Moonlight: Uncovering Spring by the Full Worm Moon
Sat Mar 4, 2023
4:30pm to 6:00pm ET
Age: 6 and up
Price: $20
Chestnut Hill farm is hosting a moonlit guided hike followed by (weather-permitting) campfires. Make wishes as stars pop out one by one, and look for familiar constellations.
The March full moon is known as the “worm moon” because this is the time of the year when the ground slowly starts to thaw and worms creep their way to the surface. Guests will celebrate this transition into a new season by searching for hidden signs of spring’s arrival. Sip water fresh from a maple tree, examine unopened tree buds, then listen for spring peepers in the woods as dusk falls and the moon rises.
Ranger Bob, a local scoutmaster and devoted member of the Trustees community will be the guide for the evening.
