Newport St. Patrick's Day Parade
Newport, Rhode Island's 68th St. Patrick's Day Parade kicks off from City Hall at 11am with marching bands, fife & drum corps, community groups, and much more.
The parade route runs 1.6 miles, primarily south along Thames Street, to Saint Augustin's Church in Newport's historic Fifth Ward. After the parade, the Martin Recreation Center at 35 Golden Hill Street hosts the St. Patrick's Day Family Celebration.
This alcohol-free event will have step dancing, bag piping, face painting, and cash prizes for the "Most Green" attendees. The celebration is family friendly and admission is free.
Newport's parade has typically drawn thousands of attendees. Some of the best parking options are at the Gateway Visitors Center at 23 America’s Cup Ave and the Mary St. parking lot between Lower Mary St. and lower Church St.
