New Windsor Cantonment State Historic Site
Learn a bit of local history this Presidents Day at the Mount Ellison house and historic site in New Windsor, where General Henry Knox organized the artillery for a projected attack on New York City in the winter of 1781. Tours of the house are given, and cannons are fired throughout the day.
Musket firing and artillery demonstrations are at 11am, 1:30pm,and 3pm. Blacksmith, medical, and cooking demonstrations are both days.
