NEOC
Born out of the enjoyment and safety the nation experienced by being outside during the pandemic, NEOC — pronounced nē-äk — connects campers to nature with programming that encourages their personal interests. It is a throw-back to vintage summer camps where children explored and played outside at an easy pace and without any technology at all.
NEOC’s campus is the Elm Bank Reservation in Wellesley, an expansive property that includes river-access, trails, forested areas, gardens, and the opportunity for campfires. Camp activities include canoeing, archery, hiking, orienteering, outdoor survival skills, gardening, arts and crafts, music, cooking, games, sports, and wellness. As the camp welcomes campers ages 3 - 15, all of these activities are offered as age appropriate. A camp culture of inclusion and appreciation allows for friendships to blossom and for campers to mentor one another. As campers grow at NEOC, they are encouraged to wonder about, investigate, and build their understanding of nature.

"Our daughter loved NEOC so much! She especially loved canoeing, shelter-building, weaving with various botanicals, ponding, and archery. And, of course, Friday s'mores! We found it very well-organized, well-thought-out, and enjoyed the continuity from week-to-week. I can't say enough about how kind, engaging, and all around wonderful the counselors were with our daughter. She still talks about them often and misses them." —W.L., Needham Heights
"This camp was made for my son. He loved everything about this experience — being outdoors, exploring the woods, learning more about nature, the amazing counselors, and getting to meet new friends. He truly adored the counselors, and looked forward to camp each and every day. Thank you SO MUCH for creating NEOC — this has been an experience of a lifetime for our son — and we cannot wait to sign up for next year!" —B.R., Wellesley
