Groundhog Days
- see all dates
The Chicago area's own Woodstock Willie will predict whether we will have an early spring or six more weeks of winter at Woodstock Square. Families can tour the grounds where the classic movie was filmed and participate in a Groundhog Day bags tourney.
Celebrate just like Bill Murray did in Groundhog Day by seeing the groundhog arrive on February 2 and participating in prognostication, or celebrate with activities throughout the week. Some family-friendly options include:
February 1
5:15 p.m. Groundhog Storytime
6:00 p.m. Welcoming of the Groundhog
7:00 p.m. Screening of Groundhog Day
February 2
7:00 a.m. Groundhog Prognostication
7:30 a.m. Official Groundhog Day Breakfast
February 4:
8:00 a.m. Groundhog Day Pancake Breakfast
10:00 a.m. Screening of Groundhog Day
1:00 p.m. Walking tour of filming sites
