One is blue, the other is green. One was invented in 1839, the other has been around for more than a billion years. Silicon solar cells and the leaves of plants both redirect the energy of sunlight, using it to produce electrical current or to trap that energy in simple sugars. In this workshop, experiment with solar photovoltaics and make a colorful model of leaf anatomy to bring home.
