Families can learn how to identify local birds and submit data to the Great Backyard Bird Count, a program sponsored by the National Audobon Society that helps the group learn how birds are doing so they can improve the environment. Then, kid can help parents count bird the weekend of February 14-17. Cosley Zoo recommends this event for kids 8 and up, although all are welcome.
