Families can run a 5k or take part in the 1-mile kids' dash held entirely on the ground of Brookfield Zoo. The race raises funds for The Chicago Zoological Society Animal Care and Conservation Fund. Families can join the race as a team or individually. Friends and family can enter the zoo for free as early as 6:30 a.m. to cheer on their racers.
