Mindful Origami for Families
Sat Jun 22, 2019
1:00pm to 2:00pm CT
Age: 5+
Price: $40 admits one adult and up to 2 kids
Kids and adults can learn to create colorful spinning tops out of three sheets of origami paper. As you fold, you will learn calming mindful breathing techniques to prepare you and your children for life’s challenges.
Learn and play with origami as a family and be inspired to be creative this summer.
Rie Kojima Angeli, LPC-Intern at the Center for Creative Resources, grew up in Japan where she learned and played with origami. As a therapist, she introduced origami to her clients in art therapy and was impressed by how it seemed to bring them into a state of mindfulness. Rie is passionate about integrating origami into the healing process.
