Green Line Performing Arts Center
The Green Line Performing Arts Center hosts a monthly story time hosted by Kido and Arts and Public Life. Each month has a new theme.
From the host:
Bring your kids to listen, learn, sing, dance, and interact! South Side Story Time is a monthly gathering that curates readings for its young attendees along with the chance for their parents to socialize. Hosts Keewa Nurullah of Kido and Megan Jeyifo are elated to share their family-friendly faves on the Arts Block. Open to all ages but geared towards 0 - 6. Kids apparel by Kido and children's books from 57th Street Books will also available for purchase. After South Side Story Time, stay around for kids jamm, a free family yoga class where caregivers and children (all ages) explore the mind-body connection together with other families.
ABOUT THE GREENLIGHT SERIES:
The GreenLight Series illuminates the varied performing arts disciplines producing work in the Green Line Arts Center. Arts + Public Life (APL) invites audiences to experience a rotating sample of storytelling, music performances, comedy, theater, and dance works presented by ensembles, collectives and individuals. GreenLight series showcases Chicago’s multi-faceted storytelling community, presenting a range of communities, storytelling styles and oral traditions.
