Seeking actors, dancers, gymnasts, and aerialists! The Red Door Theatre Company is creating an original Cirque du Soleil inspired holiday production entitled La Nativité, which is a modern retelling of the birth & first few years of Jesus’ life.

The production has a modern electro soundtrack & a steam punk feel; this uniquely envisioned tale delves into the spiritual message of the traditional Nativity story while bringing an artistically bold statement to the stage. 

Everyone should come prepared to do a cold reading from the script. A small movement exercise will also be a part of the audition process.  There’s no ‘pay-to-play’. We’re willing to work around a few schedule conflicts. All cast members must be available for all tech & dress rehearsals.

SHOW SYNOPSIS:

The mechanical city Bit-Lahmi is under a blanket of panic as a young Josef & Mary have come so that she may give birth to their firstborn child.  The city’s ruthless ruler, Heroditas has learned of an ancient prophecy which speaks of a young Messiah who will come to save everyone within the land.  Fearing the truth of these ancient words, Heroditas sets out on a dangerous path.
