The country’s largest free celebration of Nowruz returns in person to the UCLA campus.

From 2024:

Nowruz is the Iranian New Year and first day of spring. This year's event includes musical performances, children's activities and arts and crafts, dancers, traditional musicians, stilt walkers, the signature Grand Haft Sîn display, and more.

 Performers include the Ava Choir, La Daf Ensemble Melieka Fathi Dance Company, the Negar Estakhr puppet show and the Firuze Dance Company.

An Iranian Tea house serves tea, Shirini, Iranian style sandwiches, ice cream, and other sweets.

There is also a Nowruz Concert at 6pm in Royce Hall, featuring Sahar Boroujerdi, Hila Plitmann, and The Iranshahr Orchestra.

Nowruz at UCLA is free and open to all. The event is held at Dickson Court. Royce Hall Concert is ticketed, tickets $25 and up.
