Drop by Wave Hill for a weekend of fun centered around our feathered friends. 

Sat & Sun 10am–1pm — Family Art Project: Local Birdies for Wave Hill House
Goldfinches, woodpeckers, dark-eyed juncos, blue jays and robins are just a few of the local bird species that inhabit the grounds of Wave Hill. Kids make bird drawings with colored pencils, oil pastels and templates. Some projects may be added to the Wave Hill House holiday decor. Free, and admission to the grounds is free until noon.

Sat only 11am & 2pm— Nature Walk: Birds and the Winter Garden
​Local birds face many challenges during the chilly months, and benefit from thoughtfully planned, bird-friendly plantings. Naturalist Gabriel Willow and Senior Horticultural Interpreter Charles Day lead a brisk walk to see birds and bird habitats in the garden. Along the way, hear about fascinating adaptations that help birds survive the cold. This nature walk takes place again at 2PM. Free, and admission to the grounds is free until noon.

 Sat only Noon–2pm — Drop-in Workshop: Decorating for the Birds
​Decorating a tree for birds is a fun family activity, but it also helps our feathered friends survive when food is scarce. Discover what birds prefer to eat and make several edible decorations for your avian neighbors. Ages six and older welcome with an adult. $15 materials fee, plus admission to the grounds.
