Santa Monica Place’s Lunar New Year celebration returns with traditional Chinese lion dance performances, a balloon artist, crafts for kids, and a Chinese dough artist.

Festive Lunar New Year decor, including overhead red and gold lanterns, make for a timely photo op.   In addition, guests who visit Santa Monica Place from January 28 through February 13 can hang their wishes for prosperity and renewal for the new year on cherry blossom Wishing Trees.

Guests can pick up a Lunar New Year craft kit for kids while supplies last.
