Maple Sugaring Festival
Sun Mar 1, 2020
12:00pm to 3:00pm ET
Age: 5 and up
Price: WVWA Members: Adults $5; Children (12 and under) $3; Non-Members: Adults $10; Children (12 and under) $5
What goes with pancakes, waffles and french toast? Maple syrup of course! And, what better way to learn how maple syrup and sugar are made than to experience a maple sugaring festival held at Wissahickon Valley Watershed Association.
Guides take small groups of visitors into the woods to see how the trees are tapped and watch the sap being boiled into sugar. Afterwards, stop by the WVWA historic headquarters for some hot chocolate and warm treats. Each tour is approximately 45 minutes. The last tour leaves at 3 PM. Strollers and dogs are not permitted.
