CANCELED: Central Park New Year's Eve Fireworks
Fireworks in Central Park have been canceled this year, due to drought. NYRR is exploring other options. Stay tuned.
Central Park's 15-minute-long New Year's Eve fireworks take flight at the stroke of midnight. The show, put on in conjunction with the NYRR Midnight Run, is visible to the general public south of 72nd Street.
General public may view fireworks that begin at midnight within Central Park at points north of 77th Street OR south of 69th Street (after NYPD screening).
General public looking to access the southern end of Central Park (below race footprint frozen zone) must be screened at NYPD checkpoints located at Central Park West and West 67th Street OR 5th Avenue and East 69th Street.
Please note: Though fireworks are a tradition of Midnight Run, the fireworks display at midnight is subject to weather conditions.
