Join BAC at “African Dance/Brooklyn Style.” This dance extravaganza highlights the influence of African dance on traditional, modern and post-modern dancers and features performers from AIE's Assembly program roster, Rita Silva, Conjunto Nuevo Milenio, Baraka de Soleil, Camille A. Brown and others.
The event kicks off Black Brooklyn Renaissance: Black Arts + Culture, 1960-2010, sponsored by MetLife Foundation and presented by BAC in partnership with Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation. Black Brooklyn Renaissance is a year-long celebration featuring performances, exhibitions, screenings, symposia and more.
