Thanksgiving Fun: A Virtual Family Workshop
This hands-on program explores the themes of Thanksgiving and gratitude through a close (virtual) look at some special places within the St. John the Divine Cathedral, a storybook reading, and an art activity to make stained-glass leaves you can hang in your windows.
Materials required for art project: Tissue paper in fall colors (reds, oranges, yellows, browns), plastic Ziploc bag (any size, though gallon-sized is best; alternately, any two pieces of clear plastic cut to the same size will work, i.e., cellophane), glue stick, marker, and scissors.
Registered families can collect their own materials or (if local) pick up a package of free materials from the Cathedral’s Visitor Center during the Cathedral’s open hours anytime before November 13th.
This program occurs via Zoom, and log-in information will be sent out before the program. Recommended for children ages 4-8 years old.
For additional information, please contact the Public Education office at groups@stjohndivine.org.
