Smithsonian Folkways and The Bright Siders Present A Mind of Your Own
Join The Bright Siders to celebrate the release of their debut album, A Mind of Your Own, from Smithsonian Folkways Recordings. This promises to be a fun, informative, psychologically useful and entertaining evening of music and talking with audience participation.
Project co-creators Dr. Kari Groff & Kristin Andreassen are joined by album co-producer Chris Eldridge and featured artists The War and Treaty, as well as parent coach and author Dawn Huebner.
Tune in for a listening party with an interactive discussion around how to approach and talk about emotions with kids. This is a family-friendly event for kids and their adults.
The Bright Siders is a unique musical collaboration between Nashville-based Americana songwriter Kristin Andreassen and Brooklyn-based child psychiatrist Kari Groff, MD. Together, they create music with the purpose of helping children connect to their emotions.
