Foraging Tour with Wildman Steve Brill
Sun Aug 30, 2020
11:45am ET
Age: 7 and up
Price: Suggested donation: Adults $20; Children (under 12) $10
A great abundance of edible and medicinal wild plants and mushrooms makes Prospect Park a great place for foraging in all seasons.
Like Central Park, this Olmstead-designed landscape features a variety of habitats filled with delicious native and exotic plants. This 4-hour tour takes participants through the Park to learn about (and forage for) seasonal edible plants including herbs, mushrooms, and sprouts.
The tour begins at the stone benches behind the farmer's market, by the stone wall, at Prospect Park's Grand Army Plaza entrance, across from the library, not under the traffic circle.
